The Thunderbird Motel without a doubt is one of the very best budget motels I've ever stayed in. Obviously they've refurbished the place not too long ago, of which they've done a really nice job. The rooms looked modern, were very clean, spacious, great bathroom and shower, very comfortable bed, good refrigerator and microwave. The owner was friendly and super helpful. Spoke to a guy who cleans the rooms who was really conscientious about the quality of his work which was awesome too. Good wifi, great location in the middle of Bishop.

The room was very nice. It had everything we could need. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer & of course the tv. The bed actually had a very nice blanket.

Quiet room located just off of main street. Recently upgraded room and convenient to explore the areas around Bishop. Powerful AC if it were to get hot. Strong reliable Wi-Fi. Very typical of motels in this area.

The attendance at front desk was very nice and friendly. However the hotel room was not clean at all. Towels looked dirty, floor was very dirty. The small fridge smelled funny and was dirty, as well as the microwave. The worst was the heater / air conditioning unit, as soon as we turned it on it smelled like burning and the smoke detector went off. Did not want to go through the trouble of telling the staff. But luckily was not cold. Overall just dirty room , expected better from the reviews online. Would not book again.
